Email format with delegated message

When I'm reading an email and use the delegate option, the email page shows up as expected but 1) the text has been converted to to text and all the html/rich text formatting plus embedded objects are lost and 2) the standard editor options (automatic application of my signature, etc) is not applied. Are these configurable options? Note, I am using Outlook 2010 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.

Delegate losing RTF and/or attachments

I'm running Outlook 2007 on Windows 7 32 bit.

When I delegate an e-mail, the text is copied over into the body and attachments are added. It does not bring along embedded objects (e.g. pictures). It works the same way on an Exchange like mailbox and Gmail using IMAP.

Looks like the Delegate function doesn't adhere to the configuration settings, i.e. (embed or text + attachments).  We'll fix that.

Regarding the Signature - the tool does not insert the Signature automatically today.  Sounds like something we need to add.

Work around?

Thanks Chris for the quick feedback. I live out of my email so these features are blockers to how I look to benefit from the Outlook organizer. As a potential work around for now, I am trying to respond to emails using the normal Outlook workflow and then going to my sent email folder assign "responsibility" to the appropriate person that I am looking to perform the follow-up action to the user. Ultimately, I am trying to get to leverage the organizer feature where I can pull up a contact in Outlook and see what actions I am waiting for them to complete.Unfortunately, I can't see how to assign someone as responsible without going through the delegate workflow which has bugs. Any recommendations how to accomplish this?

Assign a task to a person on the Planning Tab

Not sure if this will solve your problem - you can assign a 'Responsible' person to a task by using the added 'Planning' tab.

Once a task is created, you can add or change a Responsible assignment by pressing the button next to the Responsible person's name on that tab.

Sorry for the delayed response, I didn't see this post quickly enough.
